Executive Master of Public Administration

The University of Utah's Executive Master of Public Administration empowers career professionals to serve and lead for the public good. Our small cohort model leverages faculty instruction and peer-to-peer learning to foster a network of enduring professional relationships that will serve you throughout your career. The curriculum is designed to accommodate a busy executive schedule, with a combination of weekend and condensed class scheduling that enables degree completion in just 19 months.

Executive MPA Information

The Executive MPA program is designed for students with 5+ years of administrative experience in public or nonprofit organizations (or similar). The degree consists of 39 credits and takes 19 months to complete. As seen in the following schedule, most Executive MPA classes are taught on weekends, with limited weekday evening meetings during condensed instentive classes, to accommodate professional students’ schedules. No additional elective credits are required for the executive program.
